How can we help therapists develop their practices? This question is at the heart of this new, self-paced course “All Things Therapy”.

Sheila McNamee, Ph.D., Professor Emerita of Communication at the University of New Hampshire and Pedro Martins, Ph.D, clinical psychologist, come together in a vibrant context of diverse conversations about therapy.

If you want to improve your clinical skills, as well as become a more reflective, critical and creative therapist, this course is for you.

This course features 15 video recordings (5.5 hours total) of conversations between Sheila and Pedro.

Once you register, the content will be available immediately and for one year you can explore it at your own pace. The course is divided into four parts.

In part 1, Practice is Where we Begin, we invite you to watch two videos. The first is a real session in its entirety, without edits or analysis, which Sheila conducted with a volunteer. The second video is about a conversation that took place right after this session, in which Pedro explores with Sheila her internal dialogue and how he thought about constructing the conversation.

In part 2, Expanding Practice through Supervision, Pedro invites Sheila to supervise him in three different cases of clients he is seeing in his practice.

In part 3, Nothing as Practical as a Good Theory, you will watch four different classes on therapy as a social construction.

In part 4, Words of Wisdom are shared by Sheila upon Pedro's invitation to reflect on hot topics in the world of therapy: sensitive, difficult and controversial topics that they discuss together to broaden the scope of our possibilities for understanding and action.
