Creative Improvisation Mentorship

Creative Improvisation Mentorship is a group coaching program led by guitarist and educator Tom Cykman, designed for guitarists who want to master the harmonic pathways of improvisation, expand their musical vocabulary, and create solos and comping with more identity, sophistication, and freedom.

Throughout the mentorship, students participate in live sessions with Tom Cykman, where both fundamental and advanced topics of modern harmony applied to improvisation are covered — with a strong focus on practical application, theoretical clarity, and artistic development. Each session includes theme analysis, step-by-step explanations, live demonstrations, and dedicated time for questions.

The mentorship also provides exclusive complementary materials, such as PDFs with examples, exercises, harmonizations, and application suggestions. Additionally, all live sessions are recorded and made available for students to review later. Students also gain access to a private community to exchange ideas and ask questions.
