Hecate's Grimoire - Arts to create Hecate's Book of Shadows

The GRIMOIRE is a book — or notebook — of spells, magic and rites that a witch, sorcerer or magician has to record and organize their magical practices or devotional practices. It can contain spells that you have collected from divers external sources and also your own created and inspired spells. The word Grimoire comes from the Old French “Gramaire”, from the same origin as the word grammar.

Grammar (in the study of languages) represents the description of a combination of symbols, also containing the description of how to combine them, in order to create logical sentences. A grimoire, in turn, would be the description of a combination of magical symbols and how to combine them appropriately, within a system of magic.

In my Witchcraft and Devotional Practices with Deities courses, I teach students how to produce and organize their Grimoires contents, and over time I have created forms and arts, as well as record structures, consultation tables and annotation diagrams. This Grimoire of Hekate is a work of customizing pages, in order to make your Grimoire beautiful, organized, practical and functional — properly of a witch.
