The book you're holding (or the ereader you're reading it on) has spent part of its

life on a pallet. As well as the vast majority of small items in

your home, from food to furniture to the various parts of your

own home. Pallets are the stage on which the great drama of

commerce unfolds. Okay, maybe that's a bit much. But it is

the standardized platforms that facilitate the submission of

material.
