Preliminary Understanding of Anti-ferromagnetic Skyrmions in making Memory Devices
With each year passing by, it is becoming difficult for internet providers to store information as bits. Uptil now, electronics (which deals with electron charge +1 and -1) is being used. A new area of magnetism called spintronics is being sought after which uses both electronic charge and spin (+1/2 and -1/2) as quantum bits to store information.
I am a Master's student at India's highest reated university, the Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore. My projects revolve around such pioneering concepts and our lab does quality work in the field of spintronics.
This course will be an introduction to spintronics, memory devices, recent developments and properties of a peculiar quasi-particle called an anti-ferromagnetic skyrmion.
