Initial and Slightly Untechnical Notes from the Author of the (IO) Section, at Least

Many times, an idea appears out of nowhere—and vanishes into the same void. You forget it or let it slip away, something that might have been, at the very least, interesting, sublime, or simply trivial—unworthy of the time spent building it.

I belong to a generation that witnessed the arrival of the internet, the birth of AI, and the neglect of IO (Organic Intelligence). A generation that wore mullets, wrote checks, and treated telephones as heirlooms to be passed down through a will.

So how did I end up in this book?

It was born from an excess of discomfort—too many trends, too many people searching for something or someone, for relevance—and finally, the luxury of time to actually write it down.

Artificial Intelligence can assist you in research, but not in discovering the world’s truths. Only those who’ve spent hours lost in a library know the true patience of the search for something simple. Visit the National Library in Rio de Janeiro, or the Royal Portuguese Reading Room. Lose yourself in the books, not just in the screens.

I decided to play a little with my background in Philosophy, recalling Monty Python films—especially the sketch The Philosophers’ Football Match. Just imagine the lineup:

And so, I decided to play along—with no judgment, no intent to sell dolls, and no critique of anyone’s loneliness. There are books, sociologists, philosophers, and even taxi drivers who can do that far better than I ever could.
