Understanding conditional sentences – beyond the basics

How many different types of conditional sentences are there in English? 3? 5? More?

Do the following sentences look correct to you?

- If you would just wait here, sir, the doctor will see you shortly.

- If I would've known what was going to happen, I wouldn't have done it.

- Were he to find out the truth, he would be terribly angry.

Why?

In this course, we will study the basics of conditionals, but we'll also look at more advanced features such as as alternative to 'if', inverted conditionals, less common uses, and much much more.

This course is primarily aimed for English teachers or advanced learners, but anyone who has an interest in finding out more about how conditional sentences work in English will benefit from it.
