Along with the Statutes, the Writings of Shalom Catholic Community forms the basis of its Spirituality and reveals the identity of the Charism and the spirit of the founder.
Although of essential importance to the correct analysis of the texts, the exact dating of each Writing has not been recorded. According to what the author can remember, they were written in 1984, 1986 and 2005.
1984: New Work; Spousal Love; Poverty
Between 1984 and 1985: Form of Life and Within the Heart of The Work, in Union with the Charism; Professionalism.
1986: Shalom
2005: Letter to the Community 2005
The Writings of 1984 were written in the city of Queluz, in the state of São Paulo, Brazil, at the Formation House of the Canção Nova Community1, where Moyses, under the guidance of Father Jonas Abib, went on retreat for a few days. At
that same period, he also wrote the Rules, where he presented
the way of life of the newborn Community to those who felt
called to live it. Nowadays, they have been replaced by the
Statutes. From the same period, there is still another Writing,
which has been lost.
