A1 English Integrated Skills Exam: 5 Timed Papers, 150 Questions and Answer Keys to Find Out What You Really Know Before A2
You finished A1. You passed the unit quizzes. Then someone asks where the bank is, or you try to write three sentences about your weekend, and the words come out in the wrong order. Or not at all.
Most beginner tests are built to make you feel good. But a lucky guess hides a real gap, and that gap follows you into A2, where it costs more to fix. This exam gives you an honest answer to one question: what do I know, and what do I only think I know?
It has thirty timed tasks across five papers, five questions each, one skill per page. Nothing repeats, so a wrong answer points at exactly one thing to review. The papers cover core grammar, daily routine and ability, places and quantity, present and past actions, and plans, comparison, reading and word order, which is where beginners usually stall.
Each page gets eight minutes, on purpose. At A1, speed counts. Score five points per page and thirty per paper. Under 20, repeat the paper after a week. Between 20 and 26, review only the pages where you lost points. Above 26, move on. The answer keys sit at the back in the same order as the questions, so marking takes a couple of minutes. Retake the papers a month later and compare. The second score is the one to trust.
Made for teens and adults who have completed A1, self-study learners checking their readiness for A2, and teachers who need a progress check for one classroom. Not for absolute beginners, and it doesn't test listening or speaking.
