After the NAPLAN Report

After the NAPLAN Report helps Australian families use a report as the starting point for informed learning questions.

This 60-page English-language PDF is for parents and carers of children in Years 3 and 5. It brings report information together with classroom work, the child's experience and a conversation with the teacher.

Chapters cover reading each area separately, collecting a small amount of evidence and choosing questions. Original reading, writing, spelling, grammar, punctuation and numeracy activities include worked responses, with attention to meaning, visible revisions, drawings, units and checks.

The final chapters develop a manageable home routine and a school meeting that ends with a shared next step. A complete fictional path from report to review and an action plan demonstrate how the pieces fit.

This is educational family support. It is not an official NAPLAN publication or diagnostic assessment, and its activities are not test questions. The manuscript has not received independent Australian educator review; choose and adapt activities with the child's teacher and relevant support staff.
