Breathing for Tennis: Boost your performance under pressure
Pancho Campo is a former professional tennis player, Olympic tennis team captain and Davis Cup winner who has worked with ATP, WTA and advanced junior players. He has dedicated much of his career to understanding high performance under pressure.
This Masterclass is fully recognized and supported by the GPTCA (Global Professional Tennis Coach Association).
His SMILE Top Performance method is built on three pillars: science, combining his studies in medicine, mental toughness, wellness and lifestyle with the expertise of doctors, psychologists, nutritionists and coaches; extreme experiences, including skydiving from 25,000 feet, scuba diving under the ice in Greenland, diving with sharks and surviving a kidnapping in South Africa; and learning from exceptional performers.
Pancho has worked with tennis figures including Andre Agassi, Nick Bollettieri, Toni Nadal, Stefan Edberg, Pat Cash, Dr. James Loehr, Emilio and Arantxa Sánchez Vicario. He has also worked and exchanged ideas with Barack Obama, the Emir of Qatar, Al Gore, Sting, Enrique Iglesias, members of Pink Floyd and Richard Branson.
In this practical Breathing Masterclass, Pancho applies these experiences to one of the most powerful tools every tennis player has: the breath. You will learn how pressure affects breathing and how to use conscious breathing before competition, between points, after mistakes and during critical moments to manage activation, regain focus, support recovery and prepare for what comes next.
BREATHE. RESET. PERFORM.
You cannot control your opponent, the score or what just happened — but you can influence how you respond to the next point.
