Children made in colombia
This story is based on real events that took place in Colombia during the 1980s, a decade marked by extreme poverty, inequality, and a profound lack of opportunities. For many single mothers and fathers, raising their children was a daily struggle: hunger, unemployment, and violence blended with the uncertainty of not knowing what tomorrow would bring.
In the midst of such vulnerability, the State—far from providing support and protection—found fertile ground to take advantage of the most fragile families. Many minors were separated from their homes under arguments that appeared legal but in reality concealed abuses, negligence, and even networks of appropriation.
What is told here is not only the story of children who disappeared without a trace, but also the voice of families who never stopped searching for them. Each page is an attempt to rescue the memory of those who vanished into silence and oblivion, and of the mothers who never stopped asking:
Where is my child?
