Creating IOS Apps

I’d like to start by thanking all the students who have taken my classes and all the people

who have visited my web site and posted questions or comments about the first edition of

this book. You’ve given me a lot to think about, and a lot of the changes that I’ve made have

come from your suggestions.

I would also like to thank the developers and Apple engineers on the Apple Developer

forums. When working with new technologies, we often don’t have an established set of best

practices to fall back on. Having such an active group of people to discuss ideas and share

notes with makes a huge difference.

Additionally, the book would not have been possible without the editors and production

people at Peachpit. You’ve helped clarify my intentions and made the meaning behind my

words come through clear. The layout and design of the new book look stunning, and I’m

sure there are a thousand other things you’ve done that I know nothing about.

Mostly, I’d like to thank everyone who read and enjoyed the first edition. You made the
