Gestational Diabetes

Gestational diabetes is a temporary condition that occurs during pregnancy, characterized by high blood glucose levels that were not present before pregnancy. This condition usually appears in the second or third trimester and can increase the risk of complications for both mother and baby, such as gestational hypertension, premature birth, and a greater likelihood of the baby developing type 2 diabetes in the future.
