PRESENTACION

IMPERIO WARI (español – inglés), describe el proceso histórico del imperio Wari que se desarrolló en los andes centrales. El contenido del texto, da idea general de lo que fue la ciudad de Wari y el lugar que ocupa en el proceso histórico dentro del área andina.

La metrópoli está situada a 23 Km. al norte de la ciudad de Ayacucho, actualmente presenta concentración de restos de edificios públicos y privados de dos y tres pisos construidos con piedra y barro que se caracteriza por un trazo ortogonal celular, surgiendo por primera vez una ciudad planificada.

La ciudad de Wari, vista en el sitio, parece como un aglomerado de grandes recintos de forma cuadrada y rectangular donde habitó una sociedad compleja con presencia de una estructura estatal. Los materiales culturales se encuentran dispersos en toda el área que representa dos milenios de ocupación humana que inició en el periodo Aldeano (año 1,200 antes de Cristo) y se prolongó hasta el abandono de la gran urbe que ocurrió en el año 1,200 después de Cristo aproximadamente.

WARI EMPIRE (spanish – English), describes the historical process of the Wari empire that developed in the central Andes. The content of the text gives a general idea of what the city of Wari was and the place it occupies in the historical process within the Andean area.

The metropolis is located 23 km north of the city of Ayacucho, currently it presents a concentration of remains of public and private buildings of two and three floors built with stone and mud that is characterized by an orthogonal cellular line, emerging for the first time a planned city.

The city of Wari, seen at the site, seems like an agglomerate of large square and rectangular enclosures where a complex society with the presence of a state structure lived.
