Inner Alchemy: The Book of Cards

English

The laboratory is you. The furnace is your attention.

Inner Alchemy is the companion book to PlayTarot's Inner Alchemy Tarot: the 78 cards of the classic tarot dressed in the skin of the Great Work, the old dream of turning lead into gold, read from within. The stone sought at the end is the whole person you already are beneath the lead of habits, fears and wounds.

Each of the 78 cards appears in full color, with three layers of reading. The reading of the image walks through the symbols one by one. The Bridge distills the card's essence and ends in a question. The Light and Shadow keywords are there for quick reference. Anyone who knows traditional tarot will recognize each archetype in its new clothes.

Inside:

- Tarot as a symbolic language, with no mystery and no prediction, and a word about alchemy as an image of the inner life, not as magic

- How to read the cards: the right question, looking before reading, light and shadow

- Three spreads, from one to five cards: Inner Spark, Inner Compass and Inner Elements

- The 22 Major Arcana, from the Prima Materia to the Philosopher's Stone, and the 56 Minor Arcana in the four substances of the Work: Waters, Mercury, Sulfur and Salt

- A glossary with each card's essence in a single line

Seventy-eight cards, and not one of them transmutes anything on its own.

Not your future. Your reflection.
