Lectin Sensitivity
Lectin sensitivity is a condition in which some people experience digestive problems after consuming foods containing lectins. This manifests as symptoms such as bloating, gas, diarrhea, or constipation. Sometimes, it can cause inflammation and digestive issues. Wheat contains a lectin called wheat germ agglutinin. Many individuals have a high level of sensitivity to wheat germ agglutinin, and this is often confused with gluten sensitivity.
