Lumen Fidei - The Holy Mass and the Liturgy
Have you ever felt like a spectator at Mass, instead of a participant?
Perhaps you go to Mass every Sunday, follow the rites, and say the prayers, but deep down, a question lingers: what is really happening here?
Why do we kneel? What does the priest whisper at the altar? What is "transubstantiation," and why is it the heart of our faith? If these questions have ever crossed your mind, you are not alone.
Many Catholics long for a deeper connection with the most important celebration of our faith but feel lost amidst symbols and gestures whose meanings have been lost to time.
The time has come to rediscover the Church's greatest treasure.
In "The Holy Mass and the Liturgy," the first volume of the Lumen Fidei series, Catholic communicator Hasen Silva invites you to a frank and enlightening conversation. Without complicated theological jargon, this book takes you by the hand and guides you, step-by-step, through every moment of the Holy Mass.
This isn't a rulebook, but a map to a personal encounter with Christ.
In this book, you will discover:
The "Why" Behind Every Gesture: Understand the meaning behind kneeling, standing, kissing the altar, and making the sign of the cross.
The Origin of the Mass: Journey through time from the Last Supper to the structure we know today.
The Miracle on the Altar: Clearly unravel what transubstantiation is and why we believe in the Real Presence of Jesus in the Eucharist.
Your Role in the Celebration: Grasp why your active participation transforms the Mass and why the sacrifice on the altar is also "yours."
How the Mass Continues in Your Life: Learn how the final blessing is actually a sending forth on a mission.
Written in a light and personal tone, this e-book is the perfect tool for catechists, pastoral ministers, young people, confirmation candidates, and all Catholics who wish to transform their participation in the Mass from an obligation into a source of joy, strength, and profound encounter with God.
Don't spend another Sunday
