Marcelo Matere is a Brazilian-Canadian illustrator, concept artist, and designer with over 20 years of experience in the entertainment industry. He is internationally recognized for his work in digital illustration, character design, and toy packaging art, especially on major franchises such as Transformers, G.I. Joe, and Marvel, collaborating with companies like Hasbro, Marvel, IDW Publishing, and Wizards of the Coast.
He has developed a structured drawing methodology designed for self-taught artists or those with basic drawing skills who want to reach a professional level. The method helps overcome common challenges such as lack of structure, inconsistency, insecurity, and difficulty finishing artwork.
The course is divided into three phases:
Construction Phase – Learn to build drawings from scratch using simple lines and geometric shapes to ensure solid structure and correct proportions.
Development Phase – Improve control and consistency while refining and adding depth to your artwork with confidence.
Finishing Phase – Learn how to properly finalize your drawings using a clear checklist, helping you recognize when a piece is complete and ready to share.
By the end of the course, students gain a clear drawing workflow, stronger technical skills, and the confidence to consistently produce and finish professional-level artwork.
