NeuroBabys · Talking with Your Baby: Six Steps for Talking Before There Are Words

English

At NeuroBabys, we know something about you: you already talk to your baby, even when it's hard, even when you're not sure they understand. That small thing is the beginning of everything. We want to help you do it with more confidence.

You talk to them while you change them. They look right at you. They make a little sound. And you're left wondering: was that an answer? Often, yes. It's the beginning of a conversation, even if it doesn't look like any conversation you know yet.

That's why we created "Talking with Your Baby," a tutorial for babies from birth to 12 months. We don't ask you to talk nonstop, buy anything, or add activities. We show you how to notice what your baby is already telling you and how to answer, in moments that are already part of your day.

The idea behind it: it's not about how many words you say, but how many times you send the ball back.

What you'll find inside:

- What happens in your baby's brain when you talk together, with studies by Weisleder and Fernald, Kuhl, Goldstein and Schwade, among others. And also what the research doesn't say yet: we tell you honestly.

- Six steps, one per page, showing what each can look like at different points in the first year.

- A guided practice to try today, at the next diaper change.

- A space for what you feel, because you matter in this conversation too.

By the end, you'll be able to:

- Recognize when your baby is "talking" to you with their eyes, voice, or body.

- Respond in a way that invites them to keep going.

- Leave room for their turn, and notice when they need a break.

- Turn a diaper change, bath, or feeding into a five-minute chat.

You don't need to be rested or find the perfect words. Being there, looking at them, and listening is enough. The rest is learned with practice, and at NeuroBabys we'll be with you while you practice.

NeuroBabys, always with you.

Educational material. It does not replace your pediatrician's advice.
