THE REALITY OF GLOBALIZATION
In this book, I intend to propose a multidisciplinary interpretation of the contemporary world, which highlights the current role of ideology in the production of history and shows the limits of his speech in light of the reality experienced by most nations.
The tyranny of information and money are presented as the pillars of a situation in which technical progress is harnessed by a small number of global actors for their exclusive benefit. The result is the deepening of competitiveness, the production of new totalitarianisms, the confusion of minds and the growing impoverishment of the masses, while States become incapable of regulating collective life. It is an unsustainable situation.
From the reactions now noticeable in Asia, Africa and Latin America and the popular movements led by the poorest sections of the population, the seed of an evolution, which could lead to the establishment of another globalization. The keynote is the message of hope in the construction of a new universalism, good for all peoples and people.
The most powerful actors in this new stage of globalization reserve the best parts of the Global Territory and leave the rest for others. But the great perversity in the production of current globalization does not lie only in the polarization of wealth and poverty, in the segmentation of markets and populations, nor even in the destruction of Nature. The terrifying novelty lies in the attempt to build a single space unipolar of domination. The strength of money and from the information, produced due to the concentration of capital and power, today it has a technical unity and a convergence of norms unprecedented in the history of capitalism.
Its globally destructive nature, however, ends up being contradictory, leading growing portions of humanity to resistance.
