What will we see in this post

Getting someone to your checkout page and ready to buy is hard work. Simplifying your checkout process as much as possible will improve your conversions.

Adding new payment methods to your checkout page is an easy way to improve your buyer’s experience. Instead of having to enter all their credit card information, customers can use a payment method they already have set up on their smartphone.

A variety of payment methods makes it easier for customers to complete their purchases and they’re less likely to abandon their cart.

We’re always looking for ways to help our creators, and we’re happy to announce 3 new payment methods available on the platform: Venmo, PayPal Pay in 4, and Apple Pay.

Venmo

Venmo is a digital wallet with a large percentage of young users (50% are between 25 and 34; 33% are between 18 and 24). Venmo lets users make purchases in just a few clicks or taps using a registered card or their account balance.

Payments are automatically approved instantly, and commissions are paid as if they were credit card purchases.

For now, to enable Venmo, PayPal needs to be enabled as a payment method. In other words, if PayPal is enabled in your checkout settings, Venmo will be available too.

PayPal Pay in 4

PayPal Pay in 4 (or Pay Later) is a BNPL (buy now pay later) solution. It allows buyers to pay for their purchase in 4 installments, billed every two weeks.

The first installment is paid at the time of purchase, and then an installment is paid every 15 days, totaling 6 weeks.

There are no extra fees for buyers to use this payment method, and transactions are limited to US$1500.

The big advantages of using PayPal Pay in 4 are that it doesn’t affect the buyer’s credit score, and you receive your commission in a single payment and not in installments.

Like Venmo, enabling PayPal Pay in 4 is also linked to the activation of PayPal as a payment method. In other words, if PayPal is enabled in your checkout settings, PayPal Pay in 4 will be activated too.

Apple Pay

Apple Pay is Apple’s digital wallet. It lets buyers make payments quickly, with a few clicks or taps.

Apple Pay is automatically enabled for all new products created on the platform. You can enable it for products already on the platform in your checkout page settings.

Note: Apple Pay is only available for Apple devices.

We’re always looking for ways to help our creators boost their business. Enabling these payment methods will help make it easier for your customers to buy from you.

For now, all the payment methods listed above are only available for sales in US Dollars (USD) and to US buyers. In addition, Apple Pay is not yet available for subscription payments, order bumps, and sales funnel (but we’re working on it!).
